There is no question that his passing affected us all, but so did his spirit. His leadership, enthusiasm and professionalism are the cornerstones of our operations and will be honored as we continue operating Diehl-Whittaker Funeral & Cremation Services now and into the future.

You may have heard the rumors that there is some change going on at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral & Cremation Services.

There is and we are excited to share it! You will be happy to hear that the team at Diehl-Whittaker is made up of the same familiar faces — each one committed to serving our community in the same manner as we have for the past 117 years.

 

You may have heard that the current 1370 E Main Steet location. 

While that is true, we will be operating at our same location and providing the same level of service our community has enjoyed for over a century until that time. We hope to share our new location with you soon and are committed to identifying a new facility that will continue to be one of Central Ohio’s premium funeral homes.

 

Now you have the facts from us, rest assured that Diehl-Whittaker Funeral & Cremation Services will continue to serve the Columbus community for many years to come.

We will offer the same compassionate and caring service that our families have come to expect from us, carrying on Richard Diehl’s lifetime legacy of serving our community.

 

Our Dedicated Team

We are so grateful to have been welcomed into families during some of their most trying times. The core of our heart for service is our team, which will continue to serve as it has at our East Long Street location upon our move. The same friendly, familiar faces who have been members of the community and of our Diehl-Whittaker family for several decades are still in place.

 

Our Philosophy

As funeral service professionals, we are caregivers – providing care to those who have passed on, while caring for those family members who remain. As we continue the tradition of caring service that has been maintained for more than one hundred years, we remain dedicated to helping celebrate the lives of family and friends that were such an important part of our communities and lives.

 

Our Continued Service

Our community can take comfort in knowing that all service offerings and arrangements that have already been made will continue to be honored. All pre-need plans will remain in place, along with all price guarantees to protect from future inflation. We are also able to accept and honor most pre-need policies, even those written at other funeral homes. Kelley Hubbard, our Pre-Planning Director who has been at Diehl-Whittaker for over 30 years, will continue to serve the community with pre-need services.
