In Loving Memory of Zenona J. Lejzerowicz
Zenona J. Lejzerowicz, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on October 1, 1931, in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland. A survivor of World War II, Zenona carried the strength, resilience, and determination that shaped her remarkable life. In 1969, she immigrated to the United States, where she continued building a life centered on faith, family, and love.
Zenona was a devout Catholic whose faith was an important part of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit. She was well loved by everyone she met and had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for.
One of Zenona’s greatest joys was cooking for others. Feeding her family and loved ones was more than a daily task; it was her way of expressing love. Her home and kitchen were places where people could gather, share a meal, and feel the warmth of her care. She found happiness in making sure others were fed and never hesitated to show her love through a home-cooked meal.
Zenona also enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her beloved flowers. She loved knitting and sewing, often creating something special for those she loved. Whenever a new baby was on the way, a knitted blanket would be made with love, becoming a treasured gift and a lasting reminder of her thoughtfulness. She also enjoyed watching wrestling, a pastime that brought her entertainment and enjoyment.
Throughout her life, Zenona demonstrated strength through hardship, devotion through faith, and love through the many ways she cared for others. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the traditions she passed down, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
Zenona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jankiel; her daughter, Zofia; her son, Mike; her stepson, Mendale; her granddaughter, Arlissa; and her great-grandson, Robert, affectionately known as “Bub.”
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Ella (Ray) Snoke, Margaret (Bob) Swank, and Joseph (Laura) Lejzerowicz, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Though Zenona’s earthly journey has ended, the love she shared will continue to live on through generations. Her strength, faith, generosity, and the simple but meaningful ways she showed her love will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
May she rest in eternal peace in the loving presence of the Lord.
