Zayne Austin Edghill

Zayne was born in Columbus, Ohio at Grant Hospital On December 1, 2014. He passed away peacefully at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on November 4, 2025

God gave us an angel on earth. We are blessed with the experience of knowing and loving Zayne. His name means “Gift from God,” and every moment of his precious life he lived up to that meaning. With a smile so big it is contagious and a soul so pure it continues to touch everyone who knows him, Zayne brings light and joy wherever he goes.

Through every challenge, Zayne remained the happiest child, an example of strength, love, and faith. He is the epitome of “a gift that keeps on giving.” We find comfort in knowing that Zayne is in the arms of the Lord, surrounded by the love of those who went before him.

Zayne is survived by his loving parents, Sharnell Davis and Shijuan Edghill, and his brother Zachariah Edghill. He is also survived by his grandparents Lanita and Alphonzo Davis Sr., his Aunts Jill (John) McEnery, Tara (Matt) Deininger, and Shijuana Edghill, and his uncle Alphonzo Davis Jr. He is in the arms of Zarah Edghill and Nana, along with other cherished family members.
