William A. Scofield passed away peacefully at his residence on April 8, 2020, after a lengthy illness.
William, known by many as Scofield or Bill, was born December 30, 1946, in Louisville, GA, to the late Maude (Jones) Scofield.
He had an excellent memory, enjoyed entertaining and would speak his mind. Under a tough exterior, he had a keen sense of humor and a caring demeanor. He enjoyed fishing, driving, playing cards and the lottery, telling stories and working on home projects. He could often be found listening to music in his garage, doing yard work or watching movies.
William drove for many years for the Yellow Cab Co., and retired from Robinson Transport, where he earned the honor of being inducted into the Million Mile Club-he drove more than two million miles!
He will be remembered by daughter, Sarina; sons, Aaron and William; grandchildren, Kyle and Kalia; and other relatives and friends, including Tiarra, whom he thought of as a daughter. Eugenia (infant daughter) preceded him in death.
William’s request for cremation will be honored, but to ensure everyone’s safety, there will be no service due to the coronavirus pandemic.
