William Lee Morris, Sr.

William "Willie" Lee Morris, 69, born on April 10, 1949, to Embry and Irene Morris, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Willie moved to Peoria, IL at an early age and spent most of his young life there. He attended Douglas and Roosevelt Elementary schools. Later he married Stephanie Vann, a union to which two children were born, William L. Morris Jr. of Hawaii and Desiree N. Morris of Peoria, IL. He also has another son, Paul Patterson- Morris. He relocated to Cincinnati, OH in 1989 and drove trucks over the road for over 10 years. He later moved to Columbus, OH where he remained until his death. He leaves to cherish, his children William L. Morris Jr., Desiree N. Morris and Paul Patterson- Morris. Three sisters, LaCrystal (Maurice) Beauregard and Marilyn (Zachary) Johnson of Davenport, IA and Berthena (Durey) Richmond of Peoria, IL. Two nephews, David M. Morris of Stockton, CA and Logan Tucker of Hopewell, VA. Three nieces, Camille Ware of Galveston, TX, Ebonye Richmond- Burch of Peoria, IL and Keona Johnson of Carbondale, IL. He is also survived by his long time companion Dixie Lewis of Columbus, OH and a host of other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Embry and Irene Morris, one brother Barby "Bobby" Morris and a nephew Bobby Morris Jr.
