Wesley E. Myers

Wesley E. Myers, 69, born March 25, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to Mrs. Virginia Stephens Myers and the late Wesley H. Myers, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025.

Wesley, a cheerful loving person left school before graduating to join the US Marine Corps. Being a tender hearted person he was released early and returned home, completed his education getting his GED. Then going to work for Columbus City Schools until he retired.

Wesley took pride in everything he did. He enjoyed life, work and family. Always a good nature person enjoying life, earned him the nickname (Weekend Wes) as he became older he began attending various churches. St. John was his favorite and he enjoyed helping out all special events he attended always finding something to do and talking to everyone.

Preceded in death by his father Wesley H. Myers, his siblings - sister, Percilla C. Murph - brothers, Ronald Myers, Prince C. Myers, James A. Myers- nephew, Anthony Myers.

Wesley leaves cherished memories with all who loved him, his son, Wesley E. Lipscomb -step-daughter, Tamika Lipscomb- mother, Virginia M. Myers- five aunts and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, also all of his St. John MBC family - thank you for your love and prayers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service immediately following at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, 1145 St. Clair Ave, Columbus Ohio 43201. Burial will process to Eastlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
