Thomas William Mackey, who we called Tommy departed this life Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born October 22, 1955.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Progressive Baptist Church (Mt Vernon MBC; Unity BC) now Legacy Baptist Church.

Tommy had a sense of humor. He liked to have fun and was a hard worker. He dearly loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard J. Mackey and Selena B. Glenn. Siblings Harriet Ann Williams, James (Ricky) Mackey and Robert M. Mackey.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Daughter Christa (Julian) Thompson. Grandchildren, Zoe and Jamison Thompson, Sisters :Regina Jones, Virginia Hairston, Carolyn (Sidney) Williams, Mary Mackey and Mildred White. And brother Richard C. Mackey. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received for Visitation at Legacy Baptist Church of Columbus at 2000 E. 17th Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43219 on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, followed immediately by Funeral Service.

Burial will process to Evergreen Burial Park.
