Thelma Garnes Denmon, Aunt Tag, 95, joined the angels of heaven November 30, 2011. Preceded in death by parents Josie (Roy Peppers) Armstrong-Peppers and Earl Armstrong, husbands Hugh Garnes and Odis Denmon, son Leon Garnes, 2 sisters, 1 brother, 3 grandsons, a son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law. Survived by daughter Delores Tuff; adoptive daughter Melissa (Gerald) Moore; son Odis (Josie) Denmon, Jr.; 5 sisters, 7 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, 1 adoptive sister, 1 nephew, and a host of grand, great grand, great-great grandchildren. Homegoing Celebration 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Second Shiloh Baptist Church, 1295 Faber Ave., where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the start of service.
