Tashia Walton was born on October 25, 1974, on the north side of Columbus, Ohio, to the late Trudence Walton and Jerry Howell.
At an early age, Tashia confessed her hope in Christ. She was lovingly raised by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Leola Walton, who nurtured her with unwavering love and instilled in her the values of reverence for God, respect for elders, and a spirit of service. Through this strong spiritual foundation, Tashia grew into a powerful, compassionate, and faith-filled woman.
Tashia graduated from Linden-McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio. A devoted caregiver by nature, she faithfully assisted in caring for her grandfather and, later in life, her beloved grandmother. Deeply passionate about serving others, Tashia pursued her calling in healthcare and was employed as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at Eastland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She took great pride in her work and cared for each resident as though they
were members of her own family, exemplifying the values of love and compassion taught to her by her grandmother.
Tashia was a nurturing and devoted parent and grandmother who encouraged creativity, independent thinking, and strong ethical values in her children and grandchildren. She was full of energy, laughter, and joy, and her warm smile brightened every room she entered. Tashia’s ability to bring laughter to others and her wholehearted care for family and friends have left an enduring impact on all who were blessed to know her.
As Scripture declares, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” (Luke 10:27). Tashia lived this commandment through her unwavering faith, dedicated service,
