Sherry Lynn Neal Tufts, 56, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2015 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care after a long illness. She was born April 15, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio, followed minutes later by her twin brother, Terry, with whom she always maintained that special twin bond. While working as a teacher’s aide in Columbus public schools, Sherry earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Wilberforce University, an M.B.A. from Franklin University and a teaching certificate from Grand Canyon University, and continued teaching elementary students in the district. She also taught Bible Study at Trevitt New Life Ministries where she was a member for 12 years. Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Neal, and grandmother, Helen Simmington. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Leonard Tufts; daughters, Helenia, Latiecha and Talisha Tufts; mother Mary E. Neal; brothers, Harvey Atkinson, Jay Ellis, and Terry (Charlene) Neal; five grandchildren and four nieces and nephews.
