Sherri was born June 26, 1969 in Man WV to William and Velma Jackson. After graduating from Man Senior High School, she attended West Virginia University for three years. From there she decided to reside in Columbus OH and worked for JP Morgan Chase. She started out as a foreclosure analyst and worked her way up to business analyst until 2016 when she retired.
Sherri had a zest for life and a gregarious personality that we all come to love. She loved spending quality time with her daughter most of all. Her favorite past times were watching sports (GO BLUE), fishing, gardening, bowling, playing cards, dancing and family gatherings be it a cook out or holiday dinner.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father William Jackson, sisters Phyllis (Judy) Crump, Constance Long and brother Eugene Gordon. She leaves behind her daughter Mahalie Sharp, mother Velma Jackson, siblings: William (Pat) Jackson, Gloria (Willard) Jenkins, Richard (Mary) Jackson, Ronald Jackson, Curtis (Joyce) Jackson, Joan Starghill, Joyce (Curtis) Jackson, Vivian (Glendon) Garrett, Beatrice Miller, Dennis Gordon, Teresa (Edward) Hairston, William Gordon, Wayne (Dana) Jackson, Glen (Sunny) Jackson, Shawn Jackson, and Dionne (Terren) Bartley and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Know my sister that you are truly loved and will be truly missed.
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I don not know! I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far…. I love you all…
