Sheila 'She-She' (Adair) Thurman

Sheila Adair Thurman was born February 4, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the first of three children born to Evenston and Emma Adair. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, and united with the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Sr. Sheila attended Ohio University and Franklin University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Psychology and a Master degree in Human Resources Management. After graduating from college and working here in Ohio, Sheila's company relocated her to Aurora, Illinois where she united with the Victory Cathedral Worship Center, led by Pastor Smokey Norful. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and served eight years with the United States Army Reserve. She was most recently employed as a Compliance Manager for Whirlpool Corporation. Sheila and her husband enjoyed traveling together to destinations around the world. On the morning of July 4, 2016, at the age of 48, Sheila departed this life to be with the Lord. Those who remain to cherish memories of Sheila include her loving husband Joey Thurman; parents Evenston and Emma Adair; brothers Evanston and Levanston (Lynn) Adair; niece Leah; nephews Chanse and Evan Adair; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
