Rudolph Colquitt 'Rudy' Aekins

Rudolph Rudy Colquitt Aekins was born June 29, 1957, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He passed Saturday, December 14, 2013, at St Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father George Aekins, mother Bernice Joyce Gladys Aekins, and daughter Janell Monique Aekins. His survivors include a son Dwight Aekins; two daughters, Shenae Johnson and Sheila Aekins; two brothers, Anthony and George Aekins; one sister Joyce Aekins-Jackson; godson Sidney Wilson; long-time companion Zanetta Lynn Lyons; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many comforting messages, prayers and expressions of kindness.
