Ronald James Ervin

Ronald James Ervin was born 6-27-1941 and he passed peacefully 11-23-2025 at the Laurels of Worthington.

Ron was a graduate of Columbus South High School. He earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Ohio State University.

Ron worked as a senior Medical Illustrator at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, as a medical consultant at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He was called upon to produce medical, scientific and graphic illustrations for textbooks, journals and courtroom use. Ron was also passionate about his artwork by creating all sorts of paintings that looked life like. He was commissioned to illustrate the book named The Injured Athlete by Daniel N. Kulund. Ron also created unique ceramic vases.

Ron is predeceased by his wife Kathleen Ervin and parents Virginia Williams and James and Joalee Ervin. He is survived by brother Sundiata Kata (Carla), sister Jo Carlene Ervin, nephew Jordi, niece Ledra and special cousins Eleanora Brown and Elaine and Joydena Crawford.
