Roberta Ann Smith, age 96, crossed over into glory on Saturday, March 26, 2011. Preceded in death by husband William E., son William E. Jr., daughter Pauline, sisters Elizabeth and Jane Toney, and brother Charles Toney. Survived by daughter Norma J. Banner; son Paul A. (Irene) Smith; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration 10 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until start of service. Pastor Sylvia J. Wooden, officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
