Richard Lee Posey, Sr

Richard Lee Posey was born December 15, 1960 to Richard Gates and Shirley Ann White in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Richard attended Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs, CO where he received his basic education. Richard dedicated his life to the Lord at a very young age. Richard participated in many areas in and outside the house of the Lord.

Richard had his first job at the age of 9 years old. He would go on working numerous jobs in various fields. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to spend time reminiscing about the early days. He was proud to be a devoted husband to his wife Milco Posey of 24 years. His children and grandchildren were dearest to his heart. Richard had a way of making sure things got done for his family and friends. Richard enjoyed cooking, traveling, encouraging others and listening to old R &B and gospel music. "Truly Richard Lee Posey was an example of humility and integrity."

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Ann White; his sister Brenda Scruggs (Herman);  brothers Monty R. Posey and Andre D. Caldwell.

He leaves behind in mourning his wife Milco Mashama-Ashu Posey, his father Richard Lee Gates (Fort Worth, TX), his children Richard Lee Posey Jr. (Columbus, OH), Rumele Posey (Columbus, OH), Chanielle McKee-Posey (Columbus, OH), step daughters Kimberly Kimbrew (Columbus, OH) and Konesha (Jamell) Davis (Columbus, OH). brother Rodney ( Vanessa) L. Cains, Floyd A. Caldwell, Ricky (Yvette) Gates. Sisters Latonia (Kenny) Sears and Michele (Dwight) Roberts, 13 grandchildren,  and a very special nephew Michael J. Clark (Columbus, OH) and very loyal friend Walter Meridy (Columbus, OH) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
