Ramona C. Harper was born June 20, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to Robert Lee Harper Jr. and Yada Lee Stevan. She passed at her home on August 28, 2026 at the loving age of 65 years young.

Ramona attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Marion Franklin High School. She and her Road Dog/Baby Daddy Johnny J. Jones, welcomed their first child Robert Lee, July 16, 1978. Mona then had her second child Yada Lynn, December 14, 1980 with the late Darryl Hinton. Mona went to College where she earned three college degrees.

Mona worked in the Home Health field for many years. She also ran Team 2000 on E. Main Street. Mona also worked for the Nationwide Arena and Crew Stadium.

Mona love to adventure and find things for her and the grandkids to do. She loved to sing, dance, cook and love on her family, especially the great grandchildren. Granny got enough love for everyone she would say “Mona Left a Mark on Everyone she met”.

Ramona is preceded in death by her Parents Robert Lee Harper Jr. and Yada Lee Stevan. Grandfather Robert Lee Harper Sr. and Grandmother Hester Harper. Great Aunt Lillian Smith. Aunts LouVenia (Pearl) Clark and Betty Brewster. Cousins Joseph Clark and Bruce Brewster. Sister/Best Friend Barbara Ann Jessie. Goddaughter Jennifer Hairston, Grandson Davon Hairston and Son In-law Melvyn D. Hardy.

Ramona leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Robert Lee (Renaka) Harper III and Yada Lynn Harper-Hardy; Brothers Don (Pearl) Harper and William (Gina) Harper Sr.; Sisters Martha D. Mack and Jessie Jessie. Her road dog Johnny J. Jones. Grandchildren Mi’Yanah, Ramon, Nevaeh, Bridle, Djamaji, Terrell, JaVeontay, Zaniyah, Tavionna, Tre’Vonne, Ariya, Kailan, Kaileigh, Onyx, Nasir, Chasity, Quayla, CvDre, Echo, Tane’Acie, Tatiyana, LeYonna, Ezra, Briana, Domnick and Frank Jr.; Step-children Heather Medlin, John J. Jones, Eboni Eiland, Leslie Hill, Nancy Cooper, KeYonna Ashwood, Jennifer Stevenson, Terrence Jones and Kristan Flemister. Cousins Andria Clark, Angelique Clark, Aaron Clark, Josette Clark, Joseph Johnson, Allen McGowan and Sharon McGowan; 21 Great Grandchildren and Godson Malachi Sadiika. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
