Phyllis Yvonne Green

Phyllis Yvonne Green, affectionately known as Phyl, was born on September 23, 1955, in Bluefield, West Virginia. Her family moved to Columbus, Ohio in the late 1950s. Phyl attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Central High School in 1973. She worked for the State of Ohio at the Department of Health for thirty years and retired as a supervisor in 2013. Phyl was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Harold Green, Sr. and Louise Green (Mills); sister, Frances Green, who passed as an infant; and brother, Phillip Harold Green, Jr. Phyl passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020. She leaves behind two loving daughters, Shannon and Stephanie; sister, Gwendolyn; brothers, Michael and Richard (Katherine); granddaughter, Makenzee and Lauryn; niece Kendra; nephew, Reginald Jr.; favorite aunt, Bernice Ling of New York; best friend, Elaine; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
