Nicholas DayShawn Russell age 30 of Columbus, Ohio was called home on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022. He was born on December 8, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio to the parents of the late Nicholas Prater and survived by Angela Russell.

Nicholas graduated from Dayton, Ohio Job Corp Center where he obtained his Certificate as a Nursing Aid. He was the type of person that could light up the room when he entered it with his beautiful smile. He enjoyed being the jokester of the family and always found ways to make you laugh. He was a playful person and had a good spirit. Nicholas enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Nicholas will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him, but God called him home with open and loving arms. Nicholas was survived by his fiancé Jonequa Horton, and he was a loving and dedicated father to Ni'Aira Russell, Jamyiah Russell, Jakayla Russell, Nizyah Russell, and his stepdaughter Jasniah Johnson. On his mother's side, he was survived by his brother Dominique Russell, grandmother Sharon Russell, and preceded in death by his brother Damiko Russell, great grandfather Paul Russell, great grandmother Elizabeth A. Hisle, and great grandmother Beatrice Johnson. One his father's side, he was survived by his sibling's Shawnta, Lavonna, Jared, Jarika, Nia, Noah, Kyvei, Hevaunly and Ziklyan, and preceded in death by his grandparents Emma and Earl Prater. He was loved by a host of Aunts and Uncles, as well as loving cousins and cherished friends.
