Nathaniel G. Smith Jr., age 67, born in Huntington WV on August 27, 1945 ended his life’s journey surrounded by his family on August 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel G. Smith Sr. and Mary Emma Smith and sister, Sharon Hill. Survived by wife, Laydia Smith; daughter, Tima (Anthony) Rankins; son, Nate (Crystal) Smith; aunt, Thelma Mccombs; niece, Nicole Miller; grandchildren, Amber, Morgan, Haley, Nathan and Israel; great-grandchild, Addison; brother, Michael (Annette) Smith; in-laws, Joylette Miller, Billy (Desiree) King and Charmaine King, as well as a host of beloved relatives and friends. He was a veteran U.S. Air Force; an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and a longtime member of Ezekiel Lodge #4 F. A.A.Y.M., PHO-NC.
