Mildred Lynn Chavous

Mildred (Lynn) Chavous, age 90, of Columbus OH, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Wexner Heritage Village. Mildred served many years as Director of Graduate Services for The Ohio State University which honored her with the Distinguished Service Award in 2009. In addition, she served as a member of the League of Women Voters; Links, Inc.; and several other organizations. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Juanita Lynn; beloved husband, Jarret Chavous; loving daughter, Brenda Chavous; and sisters, Willa Garman, Mary Green, and Dorothy Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Louise Hamilton; special nephew, Daryl Hamilton, of New York, NY; and many other nieces, nephews, and life-long friends.
