Mother Mildred Louise (Robinson) Brewer was born December 25, 1936, to the late Joe and Velma Whitson in Berry Alabama. She was the seventh child of her eleven siblings.
She served the Lord as a member at Berry Chapel AME Zion church in Berry Alabama where she accepted the Lord at an early age.
She married George W. Robinson and had two children, Larry J. Robinson and Jerry L. Robinson. George died in 1953. After his passing Mildred moved to Columbus, Ohio to seek employment so that she could care for her two children. She met Jeff Brewer and later married him in 1965 and established employment at Swan’s Cleaners but later started a career of 22 years with Ohio State University Hospital as a store clerk supervisor.
Later in life, she was reunited with First AME Zion Church located in Columbus, Ohio. She served on the trustee board, was an active member of Lay Council, Parent Body Missionary Society, Life Member, Class leader, and actively attended Sunday school and Bible Study.
She was appointed President of the Deaconess board and served this title for 19 years. Mother Brewer served on the Ohio Conference Association where she assisted the bishop as his marshal for a few years and participated with the B.R.E.A.D. Organization.
Mildred served as a member of the Sanctuary choir and the Andrew L. Foster Jr. Memorial Choir in her church and let’s not forget the many meals that she assisted with preparing for her church family. Mildred also assisted in her community with working as a voting poll assistant at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church.
Mother Brewer did 7 years of Volunteer work at Main Street Elementary School as she loved working and making a difference in children lives. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels Alliances for 15 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jeff, her son; Larry, her siblings; Hosea, Joe, Mary, Willie, Charles, Marveline, Robert, Lorenzo, Leon, Arnell, granddaughter; Jessicia, great grandson; Antohn Jr. She Leaves to cherish her fond memories of her son Jerry Robinson, daughter-in-law Vivian Robinson, special niece Barbara Etgen and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

Visitation will be held on May 17th, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11: 00 am with a Funeral Service immediately following at First AME Zion Church, 873 Bryden Road, Columbus, Ohio 43205.
