Michael Van Williams, Sr

Michael Van Williams 70, of Columbus, OH entered into rest on June 30, 2020.  He was born on December 16, 1949 in Detroit, MI to the late Claude McNarry and Juanita Lee Kimbrel.

He was survived by his wife Donna Williams.  He was preceded in death by his sisters Getrude Peyton, Etta Marie Williams,  son Rodriccos Williams.  He was survived by  his sister Debra Byrd He was survived by his children Derrick Coates (Jewel), Etta Coates, Michael A. Williams Jr (Lesley), Leslita Williams, Terrence Davis, Shannon Storme C. Mason (Col'ton), Brian Johnson, Orlando Brown, Van M. Williams, David Hickman, Misian " Michael Dee" Cory (Shane), Travis Jones, Schalen Ashley Michael Williams, Latoya Peck, Gabriella Cochran (Xavier).  A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews (DuJuan Harper/Torie), cousins (Roy Lamarr), and extended family: Best friend Albert Watson and a host of other friends.

Michael Van Williams affectionately known as “Big Smash” graduated from South High School in Columbus, Ohio, he also attended Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute.  Michael loved and enjoyed his family.  He was deeply loved and will truly be missed but never forgotten.  Rest Peacefully.
