Mary Lou Dorsett

Mary Lou Dorsett (Nundley) age 101, was born on August 23, 1920 to Realy Nundley and Walter Nundley in McDowell West Virginia. She went to high school in Gilliam West Virginia, and she moved to Columbus Ohio in 1959.

Mary Lou worked at Ridgeways for some years, and had multiple housekeeping jobs to take care of her four children, she also worked for the Franklin County Children’s Services, taking in multiple children and helping take care of them in their time of need. Mary Lou was always there when you needed her, she was the staple to the Dorsett family, she lived a blessed 101 years of life, and her relationship with God is what got her thru.

Mary Lou Dorsett was preceded in death by her Mother and Father Realy and Walter Nundley, her Husband Balious James Stewart, three brothers Williard, Haywood, and Roy Nundley, her Son Lawrence Dorsett, and her prayer partner/church companion Henrietta (Buford) Barker.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her Daughters Josephine Dorsett, Peggy Bonner, and Catherine Stewart, Sons Walter Dorsett Jr, Ochey Saunders, James Stewart Jr, and Lonnie Featherstone; Grandchildren Glennell Dorsett, Shannell Dorsett, Marlon Dorsett, and Mark Bonner, and Shena Stewart; Great-Grandchildren Jackiya Macklin, Tashia, Angelica, and Marcus Bonner, and a host of Great-Great Grandchildren, family and friends.
