Margie M. Brooks, 95 was born on April 17, 1923 in Columbus, OH to the union of Leslie Abney Sr. and Florence Anderson. She passed peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 18, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Edward Brooks Sr., husband; Roland Sawyer and Leslie Abney, Jr. , brothers, Nancy Hunter, sister. She is survived by children Sharon Brooks and Edward (Jackie) Brooks; grandson, Shaune Brooks Woods; granddaughter, Jahnele (Lawrence) Williams; great grandchildren, Taliyah Brooks, Shaune Brooks, Zayden Brooks, Nalaiyah Brooks; sister-in-law, Norma Sawyer; nephews, David (Loling) Sawyer, Wayne (Frederica) Sawyer; niece, Linda Sawyer; a host of other relatives and friends. Margie was a member of Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church.
