Mamie Allison 'Barbara' (Logan) Bates

Mamie Allison Bates was born January 20, 1941 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Raised in Spindale, North Carolina, she was a graduate of Central High School. She moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she married and started a family. Mamie started her own childcare business and was a caregiver to countless children over the years. On December 13, 2016, at the age of 75, Mamie passed away while at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Bates, son Rickey Trent, mother Glennie Logan, and brother Steve Logan. She leaves to cherish her memories, children, Arnold Trent, Anthony (Mandy) Trent, Kenneth Logan, Debbie Trent, Carol Bruce, Tina Bates, and Wendy Bates; sister Faye Logan; brothers, Mike Logan and Rudolph (Joanne) Logan; grandchildren, Arnold Trent, III, Andre Trent, and Chris Bibb; nephew Kenny Bates; and a host of other relatives and friends.
