Mother Mable Greene was born on June 16, 1919 in Dendron, Virginia and later moved to Campbell, Ohio. She was the daughter of Newton Greene and Lula Williams••Greene. Blessed with 96 years of life, Mother Greene peacefully passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. She worked as an extraordinary clothing designer and an accomplished chef in her earlier years. Mother Mable Greene was a former member of Holy Trinity Baptist Church in Youngstown, Ohio where she became a Deaconess. She loved the Lord and dedicated herself to serving Him in the capacity of a devoted church mother at the following: Ebenezer COGIC in Youngstown, Ohio, Fellowship of Love Interdenominational Church in Columbus, Ohio and We Touch and Agree Christian Ministries in Columbus, Ohio until she went to be with the Lord. Mother Greene was truly a Mother in Zion. She loved everyone and everyone loved her in return. Mother Greene's words of wisdom will never be forgotten. She was indeed a legend. Those left to celebrate her legacy and cherish her memory are her daughter, LeJeune Reynolds; three grandchildren; Carla Tomlin (with whom she made her home), Gary Tomlin, and Aeneas (Miracle) Reynolds; five great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; two brothers; Phillip Greene and Robert Greene of Youngstown, Ohio; three sisters; Anna Mae Dawson, Elizabeth Ward (both from Youngstown, Ohio) and Shirley Williams (Columbus, Ohio); beloved friends Lillie Jackson and Mother Betty Rice; and a host of relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Banks, four brothers; James Greene, Thomas Greene. Floyd Greene, and Chester Greene and two sisters; Gloria Bankston and Leola Stewart.
