Lewis G. Bibb, 93, of Pickerington, OH, passed away on Thursday, November 28 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, OH after a brief illness. He was born November 9, 1920 to the late Julian and Lucille Bibb of Louise, VA. Lewis was educated in the Fayette County School system in WV and was a graduate of DuBois High School, Mt. Hope, WV. He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army. After working in manufacturing, construction and the coal mines of WV, he moved his family to Parkersburg, WV and retired from Kaiser Aluminum. Lewis joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garten, WV at an early age and later became an active member and tither at Zion Baptist Church, Parkersburg, WV, where he assisted in the construction of a new church and served on the Deacon Board. In 2007, he relocated to Pickerington, OH. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Tarsie Mosley Bibb; brothers, Jesse, Everett, Mason and Preston, and sister Elsie; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Evelyn Ritchie Bibb, Isabelle Coates Bibb, Juanita Oldham Bibb, Mildred Mosley Harrison, Germaine Davidson Mosley, and Jean Hill Mosley; brothers-in-law, James Mosley and Curtis Mosley; and grandson, Frederick LaMar Kanney. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory: daughter Linda (Frederick) Kanney, Pickerington, OH; granddaughter Francine Matteson; grandson Cameron (Johncie) Kanney, Reynoldsburg, OH; great grandchildren, Allante Miller, Brooklyn, NY, Bria Kanney and Maya Matteson, Pickerington, OH, CJ and Jace Kanney, Reynoldsburg, OH; sister-in-law Marian Bibb, Willingboro, NJ; brothers-in-law, Winston “Pete” Mosley, Camden, NJ and Cordia (Pat) Mosley, Quakertown, PA; and other loved relatives and friends.
