Laura Ella Williams, 71, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on October 1, 2025. She was born in Winston Salem, NC on November 12, 1953, as the only daughter to the late Esau and Fannie (Young) Williams.
Laura graduated from East High School in 1972 where she established and maintained several lifelong friendships. While studying Art Education at The Ohio State University, Laura realized that her skills and talents would be better used in service to the community, which led to a lifelong career in senior care.
Laura had the gift of gracious communication with a fun-loving and joyful spirit. She enjoyed hearing and sharing stories about anything under the sun. She loved her family and loved her church, Life Changers Church, where she was a faithful member for years. Laura was known for keeping in touch with family and friends far and wide in the Midwest, the East Coast, and in the South. She would gladly pray for and over them whenever they needed it. Laura had a deep faith, and she knew and loved God. She spent a lot of time dedicating her life to studying His word, understanding and living His teachings, and ministering to others.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and brothers, Richard Williams, Thomas Williams, and Marvin Williams. Left to cherish her memory are her uncle Cicero (Ella) Williams of North Chicago, IL; loving nephew and nieces, James Williams, Janice (Alassane) Ngom, Jeelesa Williams, Jennifer Williams, Bernice McCoy, and a host of others; her devoted first cousins Loretta Young, Yolanda Butler, Esther Fountain, Charlene Hunter, Rosland Fay Wynn, Avis Freshwater, and a multitude of others; her devoted sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Williams and Diane Brown; as well as a multitude of other caring family and friends.
