Joyce Bernice Robinson was born January 17, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, to the proud parents of Sybil and David Robinson. She was the second of three daughters. She departed this life on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the Laurels of Worthington. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend whose thoughtfulness touched everyone she met. She lived a life filled with compassion. Known for her quiet strength and warm smile, she made people feel at home with her laughter and kindness. Her wisdom, laughter, and love will be deeply missed.

Joyce attended the Columbus Public School System. She was a fervent worker and always gave it her best. She was a building services technician and a dutiful culinary specialist. Joyce’s admirable work ethic remained with her throughout her career. She was employed by Bryden Place Nursing Home and selective companies until her health failed.

She is now in the presence of the Lord, where pain and suffering no longer reside. She had a selfless spirit and will be remembered by all who knew her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, David and Sybil Robinson; Sister, Barbara Paige; Son, Nubert Robinson; Aunt, Margaret Edwards; Nephews, Lorenzo Burrows and Ricky Paige; Niece, Patricia Cunningham.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Lifelong partner for over 60 years, Nubert Vanarsdale; daughter, Denise Robinson; son, Marcus Robinson; granddaughter, Dwanna Robinson; grandsons, Dwain Robinson, Nubert Robinson Jr., Dustin Murphy, Antwann Hedger, Marcus Robinson Jr., Marius Robins, great grandson, Dai’Mere Collins; sister, Mary Burrows; nieces, Sharon Hodge, Evelyn Paige; nephews, Curtis Paige, Dwayne Paige, William Robinson, Pastor Kevin Burrows and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service 1370 East Main Street, Columbus, Ohio 43205.
