Joyce Ann Burnett(Vines), the daughter of the late Rev. Roosevelt, Sr. and Geneva Vines, was born in Logan, West Virginia, July 9, 1944 the youngest of 5 children. Joyce entered into eternal peace on Monday, February 20, 2017. Joyce left the comfort of her parents home and moved to Columbus, Ohio as a young woman to pursue her life’s goals, and enjoy her many interests. Later she met and married the late Jessie R. Burnett at her parents home in Wilkinson, West Virginia on July 23, 1973 and soon moved to Long Beach, California in 1977, where they lived until later moving back to Columbus, Ohio by way of Atlanta, Georgia. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie; brothers, Robert Vines and Roosevelt Vines, Jr; and grandson, Keith D. Paxton, Jr. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter, Jennifer Montgomery of Westerville, Oh; granddaughters, Laquicha Paxton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Chelsiah Carlson of Columbus, Ohio; great grand children, Makkah Reed and Righteous Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Tyrone Vines and Lorenzo Vines; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family and friends. She was Aunt Joyce to many, Granny and Good Friend to many more. It seems so strange that those we need and those we love the best are just the ones God calls away and takes them home to rest. The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love, may today’s sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God’s love
