Joseph "Joe" Jackson, Sr. was born February 26, 1928 in Winnsboro, South Carolina.A resident of Columbus, Ohio since 1954, Joe retired from Magnetek (formerly National Electric Coil) and Big Bear Stores. On Wednesday, December 12, 2018, Joe Jackson, Sr. quietly departed from this earthly life while at The Ohio State University Hospital - East. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Agnes Hopkins Jackson, parents Thomas and Annie Jackson, and eleven siblings, Maggie, Sammie "Sam", Sallie "Tot", Thomas "Bill", Henry "Jake", Frank "Noot", Leroy "Buddy", Etta Ruth, Lawrence "Pete" Sr., Minnie, and Arthur Russell "Rock" Sr. He is survived by his son Joseph Jackson, Jr.; daughter Geraldene Jackson; grandchildren, Shawn (Heather) Crome, Toya Jackson, Sydney Jackson, Patrick (Sylvia) Jackson, Joseph "JJ" (Sarah) Jackson and Carissa Crome; aunt Marie Robinson; sister-in-law Carrie Jeter; eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
