James Lee Johnson was born March 28, 1940 to Austin and Bertha Johnson one of four siblings in Shelby County Tennessee where the family later moved to Columbus Ohio at a young age where he attended Columbus City schools. After years of dedication, James Johnson retired as a Head Custodian worker in 2004. James Lee Johnson later married, from that union he was Father and Stepfather too 16 children. James was a member of New Birth Christian Ministry where he was a member of the Senior choir. James loved going to church every Sunday with his best friend (love of his life) Ramona Pannell. James was a fun-loving person that enjoyed life and living life with his family and friends and enjoyed travelling. He was an amazing, strong, vibrant man with a beautiful spirit. He lived a long full-filled life with a lot of great memories. James is preceded in death by his parents Austin and Bertha Johnson, wife Barbara Crawley-Johnson, brother William Benard (Shane) Johnson, sisters Minnie Phyllis Johnson and Minnie Mae (Sweet) Johnson, aunt Jimme Mae Johnson, nephew Fred Allen Johnson and great niece Latrisha Bryant James Lee Johnson leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Denise Johnson and Tammy Dunn; son, James Lee Johnson Jr.; special niece and nephew, Frank and Bertha Johnson; special great nieces and nephews, Star Johnson, Maniki Prysock and Clint Prysock; special friends, Arnez and Teresa Pannell (Twitty) along with a host of other family and friends.
