James Burkhart, age 86, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at Whitehall Manor. Retired employee of Rockwell, International and General Motors. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Burkhart; and parents, Dennis and Leanna Burkhart. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Eva Jackson, James Burkhart, Jr., John (Linda) Davis, Renee Brooks, Ruby (Eugene) Cobb, and Lena Burkhart; sisters, Ann Gulledge, Gertrude Atkins, Mildred Scoggins, and Dorothy Moore; aunt, Katie Mason; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Henry Wilson and George Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
