James Adams Jr.

James “Jimmy” Adams Jr., died peacefully at the age of 60. James was born on September 22, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James Sr. and Ruth Adams. He graduated from Linden McKinley High School. James dedicated 30 years of employment to the Ohio Department of Corrections where he retired. He was also a part-time school bus driver for many years. James was accomplished at home remodeling and landscaping. He loved traveling, music and dancing. Preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Ruth Adams of Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Adams; children, Joi Adams, Tricia Adams, Latasha Adams, Alekia Backner and Brittany Tolliver; siblings, Gordon (Cheryl) Adams, Steven Adams, Carolene Adams, and Mae (Keith) McCauley; 8 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
