Jacques McCoy Sr., a loving father, grandfather, son, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 53. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Jacques was the cherished son of Oliver and Virginia McCoy. Jacques McCoy Sr., fondly known as "Bluesman," was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. His passions for motorcycles, The Blues, fishing, and all things Michigan defined him. Jacques's love for the open road on his motorcycle brought him great joy and freedom, while the soulful melodies of The Blues resonated deep within his being, transporting him to a world of emotional connection. Fishing provided him solace and a profound sense of harmony with nature's wonders and the Lord’s beautiful creation. As a father, Jacques was unparalleled. He embraced his role with unwavering devotion, providing guidance, support, and unconditional love to his children. His leadership and dedication served as a shining example for those around him, and he was considered a true pillar in the city of Columbus. Jacques held strong to his values of family, community, integrity, and faith in Christ until his last breath. His resilience and unwavering spirit inspired those who were fortunate enough to know him. Jacques leaves behind a profound legacy that will be carried on by his children: Durrell Williams, Annaie Williams, Shalea Chilton, Jacques McCoy Jr.,Rashud Williams, and Kennadi McCoy. His grandchildren, Durrell Williams Jr., Graham Williams Jr., Gisselle Williams, Arye McCoy, and Darius Williams, will forever cherish the memories they shared with their beloved grandfather. Jacques is also survived by an assortment of other family members who will dearly miss him. Although Jacques McCoy Sr.'s presence will be deeply missed, those who knew him find solace in the knowledge that he has found his rightful place among the angels in the kingdom of Heaven. He will forever be remembered for his profound love, enduring strength, and the lasting impact he made on the lives he touched.
