Irene (Scott) Berry

lrene (Scott) Berry was born August 23,1936 to Fannie (Walker) Scott and Jack in Mallory, West Virginia. She was the baby girl of their 3 daughter's Rubena, Myrtle and lastly lrene. At 9 days old, her mother Fannie passed and her final wishes were lrene be cared for and live with Annie (Walker) Scott, her sister and Henry Scott her husband in, OH. lrene attended West High School and worked various jobs. During this phase of her life, she met her husband Claude Berry at a James Cleveland concert and eventually married which lasted 51 years. lrene was employed with the State of Ohio working with mentality challenged adults until she retired.

lrene confessed belief in Christ at an early age with her final church home as a devoted member of Faith Ministries Church. She was a dedicated Christian, Wife , Mother and Grandmother. lrene loved her two daughters, 2 Grandsons and her only Great Granddaughter. lrene enjoyed many types of music from classical to country. She sang and played the piano at home from time to time and inspired her family with that beautiful music. She was even her husband's accompanist when he needed to sing a solo for church. lrene was a woman of many hidden talents.

lrene was called to her eternal home on August 14,2026. She survived by her daughters, Anita A. Berry and Claudia B. Berry, of Columbus Ohio. Her Grandchildren; 2 Grandsons, Thomas W. Berry-Spann and Victor M. Berry George and one Great Granddaughter, Brielle M. Berry-George and a host of nieces and nephews, other relative and friends who loved her dearly.

lrene's entire life has been center around faith, family and the Lord. She will be truly missed by family and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Faith Ministries Church, 2747 Agler Road, Columbus, Ohio 43224.
