Hillard William 'Wild Bill' Harris

Hillard William Harris, age 87, went home to the Lord Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Eastland Care Center; Columbus, OH; he was born in Washington Court House, OH February 16, 1924. Mr. Harris was a proud member of Oakley Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he served in the Security Ministry, sang in the Men's Chorus, and was a Gatekeeper on the Usher Board. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Harris; parents, Richard Harris and Rosie (Pettiford) Banks; stepfather, Lewis Banks; daughter, Dollie Harris, brother, Roger Banks; and stepson, William Hargrow, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Sandal Harris-Yarbrough, Ollie Harris and Rose Ann Harris; stepson, Sylvester Hargrow, Sr.; grandchildren, Donald Bell and Lisa (Brad) Booker; beloved sister-in-law, Darnella Ross; nephew, Melvin Earl Ross; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and friends, who will miss his smile and gracious spirit.
