Herman Eugene Blakey-Anderson

On February 24, 1992 Herman Eugene Blakey-Anderson along with his twin (best friend) Sherman Blakey-Anderson were born to Selena Blakey and Herman Anderson. As a baby, Herman was a little guy that quickly grew into the man we all love and miss. Herman had a love for others and a smile that could never be contained. Through the years Herman would prove to be a sweet, fun-loving man and finding joy in his friends and family.

Herman became a father for the first time at the age of nineteen to son Jacob Neal Anderson and welcomed twin daughters Brielle and Aubrie Blakey-Anderson four years later. As a young father, Herman found a happiness that let him start and end each day with a smile.  Herman delighted in the love of his children, and always had them in his heart and mind.

Herman departed this life the evening of November 29th at the age 27, as his battle with Sickle Cell Anemia came to an end. Through his tough battle with Sickle Cell, he never let his infectious smile waiver. He leaves behind precious memories and footprints in our hearts. We will love and miss him throughout our days...until we meet again.

Herman is survived by his son Jacob Anderson, daughters Brielle & Aubrie Blakey-Anderson, mother Selena Blakey, father Herman Anderson, brother/ best friend Sherman Blakey- Anderson, sisters Angelica Blakey, Charonne Peyton, Kyesha Blakey, nephews Sherman Blakey - Anderson Jr, Michael Hogan Jr, Nehemiah Peyton, Gabriel Peyton, nieces A’Nilyah Hogan, Layla Peyton, McKenzie Hogan, aunt Kimberly Blakey, cousin Ja’Lque Blakey, Anderson family, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and paternal grandparents Delores & John Blakey. Preceded in death paternal grandparents Elijah & Anna Anderson.
