Gloria G Howard

Gloria Gatha Howard, 74, entered into eternal peace on February 4, 2022.

She was born on June 25, 1947 in Williamson, West Virginia to Rev. L.C. & Rosa Lee Howard. She moved to Columbus, Ohio when she was a small child with her family. She was a graduate of Columbus East High School, class of 1965 and attended Columbus Technical Institute (now Columbus State Community College).  She also attended Franklin University.  Owner of Gloria’s Secretarial Service; employed by Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease, LLP and a legal secretary for various attorneys in the Columbus area.  She was a member of P.A.T.H. Ministries, Pastor Johnny L. Griffin.  Glo loved to dance & listen to jazz, R&B, rap, & gospel music.  She was an easy going, laid back woman who found joy in pampering herself with regular manicures, pedicures, and hair styling.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Rev. L.C. (Cinderella) Howard & Rosa Lee Howard; brothers: Charles Murphy, Lorenzo Howard, Carl (Jessie) Nichols; sisters: Bessie Mae Majors & Barbara Sue King; grandson Jordan Howard; brothers-in-law: John Slappy & James Majors.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her children:  Lawrenceene L. Howard, Albert Hart, Aleisha Hart, LeDale (Sasha) Howard.  Grandchildren: Ashley Hart, Whitney Hart, Taylor Hart, Rylee Hart, Ryann Hart, Albert Hart, Arianna Walton, LeDale Howard, Jr., Aniya Pierce, Casey Howard, & Josiah Howard; great grandchildren: Zyion C. Arias, Xyhir A. Branon, & Kaysin Anderson; siblings: Dreama Howard Slappy, Rev. Clayton E. (Brenda) Howard; uncle Pastor Johnny L. (Janice) Griffin; cousin: Sadie Cox; special friends:  Frances Reid, Janet Hughes, Jacqueline Lawson, & Virgil Bess; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Special thanks to the caregivers Sasha Howard, Danielle Stevenson, Jacqueline Lawson, Beverly Hodge, & Eyvonne Martin.

Gloria was dearly loved and will truly be missed.  She will be remembered in the hearts and minds of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
