Gertrude Whatley Sheppard, 75, born June 8, 1938 departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Preceded in death by husband Arthur Lee Sheppard, Sr.; parents Andrew Whatley and Cora Grimmett, and daughter Kathy (Larry) Wilson. She is survived by cherished children, Jeffrey (Kyla), Crystal, Gregory (Michelle) and Randall Sheppard; and mother to Janice White, Edith Jones, Linda Dent, Arthur (Charla), Marlon, Edward “Charles”, Lee Anne Sheppard; brothers, Michael Whatley Sr., Kenneth Whatley Sr., Larry (Gwen) Whatley Sr., Jack Whatley and Ronald (ShaTonya) Whatley, Sr.; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.
