Georgia Mae Smith

Georgia (Mann, Gibbs) Smith, Sunrise April 13, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan; Sunset May 26, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. A “Proud Wolverine”. Passed peacefully into eternity surrounded by family and friends. Faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a dedicated employee of The Ohio State University until retirement. Preceded in death by husband, R.J. Smith; children, Regina M. Gibbs, George Stanley Gibbs Sr. and Lawrence (Baby) Gibbs. Survived by grandsons, Alfred Fernandez, Galen (Karla) Gibbs and George Stanley Gibbs Jr.; granddaughter, Crystal (Louis) Jones; a host of great grandchildren and other relatives; stepdaughter, Margaret Gibbs Mosby; and devoted caregiver, Michelle (Missy) Majors.
