Floyd Gregory Waddell was born to the late Floyd Henry and Elizabeth (Latham) Waddell on January 17, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio. He departed this life on May 28th at the James Cancer Hospital. In 1965 at the ripe ole age of ten, Gregory accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior in Abilene, Texas, after which, the family transitioned to Columbus, Ohio. Gregory later attended George C Berry Junior High and was also a proud graduate of the Marion Franklin High School class of 1973! He prided himself in meeting fellow graduates talking and laughing about the good ole days at Marion Franklin and growing up in the South end! Gregory worked for and retired from the State of Ohio-The House of Representatives with over 30 years of service. Greg never met a stranger! Whether it was someone walking down the street, an unfamiliar person pushing a cart down an aisle or just an unknown civilian waiting at a red light, Gregory had a conversation for you! He loved to talk, debate, philosophy, laugh or share a kind work, that's who he was. Greg's passion for car's superseded his love for people. His first car was a metallic blue Trans-Am with a picture of an eagle on the hood, he took pride in buffing that car, day in and day out. From there he purchased a white Chevy detailed in black pin stripes aligning every window with afro stickers while playing his 8-tracks in his car. From there, every car he purchased- he made showroom ready, come rain or shine, it was spotless. He knew how to keep a car clean from the inside out. Outside of his passions and pursuits, Greg loved his family dearly. Greg was preceded in death by his wonderful parents, Floyd, and Elizabeth Waddell. He leaves to reflect and remember, his wife of 38 years, Pecolia (Cooper)Waddell and their three sons' Gerren, Derrick, and Eric; his siblings, Kevin Lee and (Rosalyn) and his baby sis- Marsee Waddell. He also leaves uncles, Lowell Jr, Clifton, Thomas, and his aunt -Freda (Latham) Harris to cherish is memory
