Femi Israel Osabiya, 51, of Columbus, Ohio transitioned peacefully on October 20, 2025.
Femi Israel Osabiya was born on December 9, 1973, into the esteemed family of Overseer Johnson Kayode Osabiya and Late Deaconess Christiana Modupe Osabiya in Lagos State, Nigeria.
His father hails from Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria, while his mother was a native of Omuo-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
Femi began his early education at Mainland High School, Fadeyi, Lagos. After completing his studies and obtaining a bachelor’s degree, he pursued his passion for technology and education, establishing himself as a computer trainer. With passion in computer science, Femi attended the Columbus State community College to earn an associate degree in health information and management Technology in 2015. In greater pursuit of excellence, he bagged a Bachelor of science in health informatics at King University in 2018.
Until his passing, Femi was gainfully employed with the Ohio Department of Youth Services, where he served diligently as a Cyber Security Analyst. In pursuit of greater opportunities, Femi's journey began as soon as he left the shores of Nigeria to Gambia, and onward to London and other countries, before he finally decided to settle in the United States of America, where he continued to pursue his dreams and aspirations.
Femi was a devoted family man and a dedicated soldier of Christ. He was passionate about people’s growth and success, always offering encouragement and support to those around him. His steadfast commitment to God’s work and his selfless humanitarian service earned him respect, admiration, and several commendations.
He will fondly be remembered for his kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to both family and faith. He is survived by a beloved father, loving children, siblings , relatives, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He left behind a legacy of service, resilience, faith, and love. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Visitation will be held on October 29, 2025 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am with Funeral Service immediately following at Diehl-Whittaker 1370 East Main Street Columbus, Ohio 43205. Burial will process to East Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
