Felton Davenport, Jr. “Taz”, was called home to God on August 10, 2019. He was born in Anniston, Alabama April 18, 1950, and shortly after he and the family moved to Springfield Ohio. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Army for three years. A proud Veteran, he served a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was wounded and received The Purple Heart medal. Felton lived the better part of 35 years in Columbus Ohio, where after a short illness he passed away in Kobacker House Hospice care. Felton is preceded in death by his father Felton Davenport Sr., sister Annie Lou Gaines, and two brothers Dwight Jerome Davenport and William Marlo Davenport. Felton is survived by his beloved mother, Mary Lou Davenport of Dublin, Oh; two sisters, Terri Dixon of Springfield, Oh and Helen Davenport of Dublin, Oh; sister-in-law, Valerie Davenport of Columbus, Oh; two daughters, Dionne (Darci) Hutchinson of Zanesville, Oh and Crystal (Deonte) Askew of Columbus, Oh; three sons, Felton III (Tonya) Davenport of Columbus, Oh, Clayton Mentor of Springfield, Oh, and Damron Shelby of Columbus, Oh; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
