Eva Mae Jones

Eva Mae Jones, Sunrise December 12, 1914; Sunset January 10, 2014. Born in Elberton, GA to the late Nellie Mae Hunt and William Christian. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Retired from Franklin County Children Services. She attended public school in Philadelphia, PA then returned to Dalton, GA in her teens where she completed her education. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, Walter Louis Barrett Jr. and Harry Jones; sons, Marvin Louis Barrett Sr. and Walter Louis Barrett III; 2 granddaughters, Veronica Moody and Connie Lunceford; sister, Magnolia Parker; brothers, AP Christian and William Christian Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Brenda Lunceford; son, Larry Barrett; 9 grandchildren, including special grandson, Kenneth Barrett of Hampton, VA; 17 great grandchildren; 28 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
