Ernest Gene Cole, 78, was born March 30, 1940 in Perry County, Alabama to Earnest and Ella Mae Cole. He was a young child when his family moved to Columbus, Ohio. On August 9, 2018, Ernest passed away. He is preceded in death by his parents Earnest and Ella Mae Cole, his sisters Barbara Ann King and Maurine Cole, and his brothers Ludie and Robert Cole. Ernest is survived by his wife Karen Cole; son, Michael Cole, grandson, Michael Cole II; sister, Mary Cole; brother, Kenneth (Deborah) Cole; and host of nieces and nephews; and closet, lifelong friend, Julius E. Spencer.
