Effie “Jean” Mayfield, 86, born on September 28, 1927 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 5, 2014 with her family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Moses “Franklin”; sons Michael and Franklin Mayfield; daughter Carol Mayfield. Jean leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Mary (Mark) Treece; sons, James (Pat) Mayfield; Wardell Mayfield; grandchildren, Danielle (Isaac) Groce, Shawn (Dana), Rhonda, Michael (Tamara), Lashawnda (fiancé Alex Furman) Mayfield; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
