Doris Chaney, 42, of Columbus, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2026. She was a graduate of West High School and an alumna of Heritage College. She held a profession in Hospital and Health Services Management and was employed by Aetna.

Doris was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt, cousin, and a cherished friend to many. She was known for her sense of humor, infectious laugh, vibrant personality, generous heart, and kindness. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering support for her family and friends will never be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Chaney (63), and her father, Sanfer Chaney Jr. (64). She is survived by her siblings, brother Roy Turner (50), sister Casaundra Chaney (44), brother Sanfer Chaney III (43), and brother Aaron Lambright (35); her grandmother, Ethel Turner (87), and grandfather, Richard Turner (93); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Doris’s love, laughter, and light brought joy, comfort, and strength to those around her and will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following. Burial will process to Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
