DEVRÉ MICHELLE NASH was born in Dayton, Ohio on Friday, July 25, 1969. She was the daughter of Hilda J. Nash and James O. Nash, Sr. She was fondly called “Chelle Belle” by family and friends. Devré was class valedictorian and a graduate of Meadowdale High School, Dayton, Ohio. In 1991, Devré moved to Columbus, Ohio. She furthered her education at Columbus State Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Applied Science. Her career achievements include working with mentally disabled children and working in the insurance industry. Devré caring for others was exemplified in the community, for she worked and helped any and all children she encountered. She always went beyond the call of duty. Her drive was relentless. In her leisure, Devré enjoyed poetry, sewing, fashion, cooking, and most of all dancing, for she was always the life of the party. Our beloved Devré M. Nash entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin; she was like a second parent to others. Devré was a woman people looked up to and aspired to be one day. She was a nurturer at heart, a true diva with style like no other, always strong, confident, and a true queen. This one-of-a-kind, creative soul will truly be missed. Devré was preceded in death by her father, James O. Nash, Sr. and brother, James O. Nash Jr. Loving memories are cherished by her mother, Hilda J. Nash; daughter, Damiyah A. Mundy; brother, Dajuan D. Nash; nieces, Satema J. Nash, Sparkle M. Nash, Imani A. Nash, and Tiona S. Nash; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
